Project Description
Iganga Secondary School for Girls and a trip to the Nile.

I spent most of the day at Iganga Secondary School for Girls…here are some of the students we sponsor – Norbert, George, (me), Justine (an S4 candidate); Rosette (Nyaka Aids Orphans Project student)…we had fun!
This photo taken by Churchill, a visually-impaired student. He did a good job, don’t you think?

One of our students, Kaka, takes the notes on his Brailler from a sighted girl. The boys are few, as this is a girls school, so there seems to always be quite a swarm around each one. Kaka has grown taller since I last saw him. The girls allowed the photos but were also amused by being photographed. In the background some girls are going to practice netball.

Our driver, Henry, always up for anything…here with the two students whose school closed due to the strike. If they can’t study, may as well have fun! A visit to the actual source of Lake Victoria swirling into the Nile…

Here is the very spot where Lake Victoria swirls into the Nile…The Source!
